What do the codes apply to?
The codes formally apply to:
> Print advertising in newspapers; magazines and free sheets
> Poster advertising in all OOH formats
> Advertising content in brochures, leaflets, circulars, mailings, e-mails and text transmissions
> Broadcast advertising on television, radio or cinema
> Advertising carried on electronic storage materials and all other electronic media and platforms
> Promotional marketing and sales promotions
> Advertorial features, etc.
> Marketing communications in non-paid-for space online, under the control of the advertiser or their agent, including but not limited to advertisers’ own websites
We also encourage you to submit the following materials:
> Full Integrated Marketing Communications programme, if relevant
> Experiential – all advertising at drinks sponsored events that is designed to influence consumer behaviour at that point
> Promotions – excluding mechanics but including all on and off trade promotional material
> Sponsorships – including all advertising to draw attention to the sponsorship, use of brand ambassadors and other relevant material.
